Jerusalem Watchman | SOVEREIGNTY

Map-flagThere is one God. He has one Word, and it’s unchanging.

God chose a people. He formed them into a nation and He called them His own.  He gave them a land – exclusively theirs, forever.

In the land He has His own city. And in the heart of this city is the place He has chosen as the throne room for His King – Who is coming soon.

Christians – This is our God. There is no other. He has a plan – a future, a destiny for the planet earth and for all mankind. Its fulfillment will center on the land of Israel, in the city of Jerusalem and on the Temple Mount. And it will center on the Jewish people as a nation. It always has.

The forces of evil are aligned against Him, against His purposes, and against all those who stand with Him.

How can we as sons and daughters of our God not be caught up with all His is doing and the place where He is accomplishing it?

As Christians who have the God of Israel as heavenly Father, who believe in His Word and trust Him to abide by it, we know with certainty that only one nation has the right to claim the land of Israel as theirs entirely, exclusively and forever.

Under God the Jewish people have been given a mandate to extend sovereignty over the heart of the land of Israel including Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem – that land that has been theirs for more than 3000 years.

Many Jews don’t have the faith-based courage to own the land the world calls the occupied territories.

As Bible-believing Christians we have been given that faith. We have been given it to use it. Part of that usage is a willingness to proclaim sovereignty truths to Israel, so that she is strengthened and encouraged to claim the land that is hers by covenant right.

And to reject the big, God-defying lie. For the Palestinian Arabs have no national heritage or right or memorial in this land – not historically, not legally, not morally – and it matters not at all if even the whole world says they do.

God says they don’t, and all history attests to the fact.

God is building an ark

After 2000 years of exile, God is bringing His people Israel back to the land He has promised them – to do them good with all His heart and soul, never to uproot them again.

For the Jews, the time of Jacob’s Trouble is almost over – twenty centuries of statelessness and persecution that culminated in the horrors of the Holocaust are behind them. In our day and in living prophecy the people are being restored to the land and the land is being restored to the people.

As God’s face turns again towards Israel, as He pours out His blessings upon her, His turned back is casting long shadows over the nations that were blessed by His countenance. The Gentiles face a time of unparalleled judgement, and the third chapter of the prophet Joel tells us why.

For that time of judgment that He is already rolling out across the earth – and for evermore – God has set apart the Land of Israel as an Ark for His people; a sheepfold in which His regathered flock will be kept safe. He is bringing them back from the four corners of the earth to shelter them here. Here they will fulfill the final part of their calling to be a light to the nations.

God’s Spirit is in quest for His Gentile children to participate in the restoration work He is doing. Some have been used to help build the Ark – even going before the then still-captive people of Israel to prepare the way.

Right now, we believe the Lord is looking for those who understand how the global drive towards a Palestinian state is in fact a weapon being formed to sabotage the Ark and sink it. He is looking for those who will withstand this weapon, who recognise that by Biblical mandate and under international law the Land of Israel belongs to the Jews alone, who will take up the sovereignty banner and march with determination to declare this in their lands, to their nations and to their governments.

1948 Arab refugees: concocted circumstances and numbers – by Ambassador Yoram Ettinger, May 29, 2016
The UN has highlighted/twisted the story of the 320,000 1948/49 Palestinian Arab refugees – singling them out for perpetuity unlike all other refugees – as a means to de-legitimize Israel.

End the illegal EU settlements! – by Alex Van Ness, Center for Security Policy, May 27, 2016
The State of Israel holds legitimate claim of sovereignty over the West Bank. The territory, prior to 1967, was never under the accepted sovereignty of a High Contracting Party. Prior to Israel’s acquisition of the territory, the last legal sovereign with legal stewardship over the territories was that of the League of Nations Palestine Mandate, which mandated the land for the Jewish people, in recognition of their historic connection to the land.

Israel and “Palestine”: What International Law Requires – by Louis René Beres, May 12, 2016
“The legality of the presence of Israel’s communities in the area (Judea and Samaria) stems from the historic, indigenous, and legal rights of the Jewish people to settle in the area, granted pursuant to valid and binding international legal instruments, recognized and accepted by the international community. These rights cannot be denied or placed in question.”

Well, was it God or wasn’t it? – by Jerusalem Watchman
If we believe that God has restored the Jewish people to all of these lands – that it was His sovereign, predestined purpose as is written so clearly in His Word, for them to return and conquer, occupy and settle these lands, then nothing – no argument, no rationale, no plea, no war, should be able to persuade us to back off from, or tone down, professing this belief.

Poll: Half of Israel’s Jews want to annex Judea-Samaria – by Arutz 7, March 2, 2016
A new poll has found that just under half of the Jewish public in Israel supports the annexation of Judea and Samaria, indicating that the notion of establishing a Palestinian state in Israel’s Biblical heartland in a “two-state solution” is being shelved.

So next time you hear about the “occupation of the West Bank” and its supposedly “illegal settlements” — an almost daily occurrence in the discourse of the Palestinian Arabs and their supporters — you should remember that this territory, as the rest of Israel, was lawfully restored to the Jewish people in 1920 and its legal title has been internationally guaranteed and never revoked ever since. Any negotiation toward achieving a lasting peace should be based on this premise.
