A Time of Trouble – for the Gentiles

For thus says the Lord: “Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations; proclaim, give praise, and say, ‘O Lord, save Your people, the remnant of Israel!’ … “Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’” (Jeremiah 31:7, 10)

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. … And say, “Save us, O God of our salvation; Gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles, to give thanks to Your holy name, to triumph in Your praise.” (1 Chronicles 16: 23-24; 35)

For centuries the Jews have been taking the measure of the Christian world – accumulating abundant, painful proof that the followers of Jesus are out to convert them away from their faith, and even justifying their deaths if they refuse.

Jews hold this same measure about Christians today.

Tragically their take is right. They see many in Christendom embracing an End Times perspective rooted in this anti-Semitic soil. Much to our shame, no small number of we Christians claiming to stand with Israel subscribes to this twisted eschatology.

It is shocking, but many of us believe:

* That Israel will soon experience a major war with her immediate neighbours, which the Jewish state will decisively win (based on Psalm 83).

* The Arabs will appeal to Russia who – with Muslim allies – will respond with a major invasion that will be crushed by God on Israel’s high ground (Ezekiel 38).

* Even such clearly divine intervention, however, will not turn the Jews to Jesus.

* Meanwhile Christians will be ‘raptured’ – snatched away into Heaven – while together with all non-Christians the Jews will be ‘left behind’ (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

* The Antichrist will emerge, facilitate Israel’s signing of a peace agreement, and enable the Jews to rebuild their temple in Jerusalem (Daniel 9:24-27; 2 Thessalonians 2).

* This treaty will mark the beginning of ‘the time of Jacob’s trouble’ or ‘the Great Tribulation’ – a seven-year period of unparalleled horror during which two thirds of the Jews will be killed (Jeremiah 30:7; Zechariah 13: & 14; Matthew 24:21 and Revelation 7:14).

* It is this ‘Holocaust’ that will finally bring the Jews to the end of themselves. God will supernaturally preserve a ‘remnant’ of them, who will at long last accept Jesus as Messiah (Isaiah 37; Zechariah 12:10 and Romans 11:26).

* This will usher in the Millennium reign of Jesus from Jerusalem (Revelation 20:4-6).

This is the cobbled together ‘Scriptural’ scenario that festers in much of mainstream Evangelical Christianity, and even in the ranks of those calling themselves Christian Zionists.

And the Jewish people know it, as they also know that when things don’t work out according to our interpretations and expectations, Christians turn on Jews.

Jews know that most of the End Times ‘experts’ and a seeming majority in the pro-Israel Christian world are in expectation of a Middle East war or wars that will lead straight into ‘Jacob’s time of trouble’ (Jeremiah 30:7).

In pop-prophecy pundits’ publicly stated view – often expressed as matter-of-factly as next week’s weather forecast – this ‘time’ will see about ten million of the world’s estimated fifteen million Jews slaughtered, driving those who are not killed to accept Jesus and finally become Christians!

With little compassion or even concern, these ‘experts’ make the most harrowing pronouncements without showing any understanding of what the Jews have been through.

They declare, for example, that modern-day Israel will become the most reviled nation in world history, forced to endure persecution more wretched than anything Hitler ever devised.

They say that the worst lies ahead for her, an unspeakable horror that will surpass even the Nazi Holocaust.

And then they cloak it in a hope that barely disguises the suffering they anticipate for her – that the Jewish people also have a great and wonderful future because Jesus Christ will come back and all Israel shall be saved.

What a sickening misinterpretation of the Word of God. And what a terrible shock these Christians are in for.

For it isn’t Israel who is heading for a time of trouble. Rather, it’s the rest of the world that is heading for the ‘Day of the Lord.’

‘The time of Jacob’s trouble’ is over. This actual phrase appears only once in the Bible, in Jeremiah 30:7, and its context – as set out in the whole of chapters 30 and 31 of the book – is, without ambiguity, something the Jews were set to suffer while in exile or the Diaspora (as the Bible calls it, in captivity) outside their land. And they did.

Christians who talk glibly about more trouble and suffering on that scale awaiting the Jews are dismally disconnected from the extent of the affliction this nation has already been through.

Beginning with a genocidal war against the Jews by Rome in AD 70 through 135, the remnant that survived would endure incomprehensible and incomparable suffering for close to 20 terrible centuries, facing persecution so ferocious it prevented any population growth among the world’s Jews for nearly 1700 years.

This time of trouble – or period of “great tribulation” for Israel as foreseen by Jesus (Matthew 24:21) – culminated in another massive, horrifically near-successful effort to exterminate them completely during the Holocaust in WWII.

But, as Jeremiah unequivocally states, it is “out of this trouble” that Israel is saved. And it is after this trouble that the Jews are restored to their land. And so it has been.

The time of Jacob’s trouble began drawing to a close in 1882, with the beginning of the end of Israel’s captivity (or exile), when the first of successive waves of massive Jewish immigration to their ancient, desolated homeland got underway.

As the clock ticked, marking the wind down of that time of distress, we saw the ensuing liberation of the Land of Israel from Islamic rule, beginning with WWI’s ANZAC liberation of Beersheba in 1917, and facilitated by Great Britain’s issuing of the Balfour Declaration on the same day – leading to the League of Nations’ binding resolution legislating the creation of a national home for the Jews in their biblical land.

Hell’s last great effort to impede God’s purposes – through the Nazi attempt to annihilate the Jews in captivity, and through the treachery of Great Britain which, in collusion with the Arabs, sought to thwart the resurrection of Israel’s national home – signaled the concluding winding down of this time of trouble.

Its final flailing will be aimed at the Jews remaining in captivity, as increasing anti-Semitism will drive the rest of them home. They are all due to come (Ezekiel 37:21; Ezekiel 39:27-28). With their final return – once they are in their land, the time of Jacob’s trouble will be over.

God is rising to have mercy on Zion, for the set time to favour her has come (Psalm 102:13).

Concurrent with the ending of Jacob’s trouble comes the termination of “the times of the Gentiles” as their ascendance over Israel (people and land) will soon be fulfilled (Luke 21:24). And it is the Gentiles – who have trodden Jerusalem underfoot, scattered the Jewish people and divided up the Land of Israel (Joel 3:2) – who are destined for God’s wrath (Isaiah 63:1-6).

As the Almighty prepares to up-end His anger on the world – as we arrive to His day of vengeance for the controversy of Zion (Isaiah 34:1-8) – God has been restoring and readying the land of Israel as a haven for His people, an ark of protection, a place that will serve as ancient Goshen where the Israelites in Egypt were secluded from God’s plagues upon the Egyptians.

As darkness descends to cover the earth, over Zion the light is rising (Isaiah 60:1).

Here in their land the Jews will be sheltered from the fury to come (Joel 3:16).

For their safety and for their survival it is therefore imperative – and it is God’s stated plan and purpose – that the Jewish people come home to their land; to find safety under the wings of the God of Israel (Ruth 2:12).

The Bible explains in great detail the fact of Israel’s unfaithfulness to her God, and it spells out the terrible consequences to the Jewish people (Deuteronomy 28).

Like everyone everywhere, the Jews are sinful men and women. Nationally, in its history, Israel sinned grievously against God – arguably more grievously than any other nation because, unlike any other nation, Israel was specially chosen by God and He formed a unique relationship with her. She failed Him, betraying His trust and played the harlot.

All this the Bible makes clear.

But Scripture also leaves no doubt that God will blot out those national sins forever.

“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.” (Isaiah 43:25)

“O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me! I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.” (Isaiah 44:21-22)

“In those days and in that time,” says the Lord, “The iniquity of Israel shall be sought, but there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, but they shall not be found; for I will pardon those whom I preserve.” (Jeremiah 50:20)

Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will give truth to Jacob and mercy to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from days of old. (Micah 7:18-20)

Israel has paid double for her sins (Isaiah 40:1).

The Jewish people have had their great tribulation – and then some. The Lord their God is drawing them back to their land to bind up their wounds (Jeremiah 30:17; Isaiah 30:26), not to permit more pain and devastation to be inflicted upon them. Suffering will continue until the end – He will punish them “in measure” – but there will be no more genocidal war or Holocaust.

He is bringing them back to rejoice over them for good (Deuteronomy 30:9). The Gentiles, however, He is drawing into the winepress. In fury He is going to crush them terribly there (Isaiah 63:3; Joel 3:13).

Christian brothers and sisters, how can we, with any integrity and sense of morality, encourage and help the Jews make aliyah to Israel if we subscribe to the fallacy that insists God is restoring them in order that He may further horrifically allow them to be punished for their national unfaithfulness towards Him?

If we believe that the Jews are being returned to their land so that two thirds of them can be wiped out; if we hold that what awaits nationally restored physical Israel is another Holocaust; if we believe that God is going to use the ‘Great Tribulation’ as a form of discipline until the Jews come to a place of repentance and in desperation call out their recognition of Jesus as their Messiah – then we need to be asking ourselves:

Who on earth do we think that we are? What do we believe our calling to be?

Since when has it been – and where is it written – that God has called us as Christians to be instruments for facilitating His discipline and punishment upon the Jews?

This is the great tragedy – that nothing less than heresy has informed Christendom’s relationship with the Jewish people down through the centuries: Israel was unfaithful to God (a biblical fact) and the Jews killed Christ (a vicious fiction). Because Israel as a nation rejected Jesus as Messiah (a biblical and historical fact), God will punish them until they change their position and embrace Jesus as Lord (a perversion of His purposes and a misrepresentation of His nature).

Christian Zionists – we need to turn our backs on heresy and understand that we are Scripturally instructed not to be instruments of discipline but instead to praise and glorify God, and to rejoice with Him as His long awaited reunion with His special treasure (Psalm 135:4), His glorious redemption draws near. We are called to encourage Israel, to be ‘Ruth’ to her.

How else can we be participants in this wondrous thing that God is doing?

We are to sing to the Lord about this – to sing with gladness. And we are to shout it from the rooftops for all to hear.

Ingathered Israel has a wonderful and secure future. Wielding the Word of God, we are to declare this to principalities and powers as an expression of our faith and belief in the Almighty’s assurances to Israel despite the obvious overwhelming odds stacked against her.

“Behold your God. He is in the midst of you. He is mighty to save! Your God reigns.” We are to proclaim these hope-filled promises to the Jewish people.

When you fight against Israel, you are fighting against the Lord. We are to publish abroad, for the ‘coastlands’ to hear, God’s stated intentions concerning His people and His land.

Addressing Israel – constituted today within the borders of the State of Israel as well as inside the areas it administers but has yet to take possession of – our message needs to be that Israel has a certain and glorious tikvah (hope).

To assert such a thing, we have to believe that the Jewish people are being brought back to their land for their own protection; not for further destruction. This is something we can say with certainty, for it is the unmistakable, unbreakable and unchangeable promise of Almighty God.

Using all the methods at our disposal, this is the promise we must convey to the Jewish people – who since 1882 are being gathered from the nations where they have lived in dispersion for nearly 2000 years, and whose national home was resurrected as the State of Israel in 1948.

Let them know our unshakeable conviction:

“God is bringing you back to your own land – for good, for blessing, for ever.”

  1. Wow, I have reread your article and will do many more few times. I realize why there is so much deception and total ignorance among so many of our Christian brothers and sisters. May He help us to allow His Ruach to teach us further and lead us out of our ignorance and deception. I thank The Most High for revealing this to so many of us. Praying for your ministry and trusting for great blessing and fruitfulness. Thank you Stan!

  2. “Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant: O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me! I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you. ….Sing , O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel.” Isaiah 44: 21-23

  3. This message here is astounding. I see you have checked it all out according to scripture. Yes, Israelis have suffered terribly and God will totally stand by them. Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem.

  4. Shalom Stan –

You have written and shared an excellent article meriting the sound biblical and historical facts which are easily substantiated by those who will diligently ‘study to show themselves approved UNTO G-D’. Being instructed to this under the biblical admonishment found in 2 Tim. 2:15 and understanding its absolute requirements, serves to prevent the ‘shame’ that has come upon many of the teachings and churches which have taught, lauded and staunchly embraced false doctrines for hundreds upon hundreds of years.

Misguided doctrines, and or cherry picked scriptural passages taken out of proper biblical and historical content, have unleashed a torrent of pain, suffering, and death for the Jewish people and their nation which – have defined far to many times G-ds SUPPOSED divine purposes for Israel but now – increasingly prove how short and unbalanced they have been. Does LOVING and COMFORTING our Jewish kin as Gentiles are admonished to do, ring a bell and if not WHY NOT?

As it has been done to the ‘least of the Messiah’s brethren – so unto Him’ it is written. Looking deeply and responsibly into this scriptural precept and the history of the Jewish people and nation, serves to bring forth the inner light which will illuminate the understanding of any who genuinely seek G-d.

To expound further in this limited space would be an injustice to the overall needs of those churches which have brought misguided and devastating doctrinal realities into play. But – your article certainly has introduced critical – very critical issues as large as G-ds Heart and Will for our Jewish brothers and sisters and her land (Israel) as well as – the posture of the nations and the ‘church’ as it is understood.

Said briefly, I believe that throughout the church age a ‘boasting against the branches’ ( Jews/Israel – Rom.11:18) has clearly played out and continues to this day.

Taking a look at Strong’s breakdown of the word to ‘boast’ we find it means to: glory against – to exult over – to boast one’s self to the injury of a person of thing. To those who genuinely understand Israel’s history and just as specific from the point of 70 A.D. forward, there is no doubt or question as to this having repeatedly taken place and which continues in our day.

So many Christians understand the word gospel to be relegated to the N.T. only. But – as pointed out by daystarz, it serves well to really explore and understand the ‘gospel of G-d’ which is very inclusive of all scripture beginning in Genesis.

  5. Dear Stan – David and I spent 4 months short of 5 years in land of Israel and it broke our hearts when we were forced to leave due to non renewal of visa ( 5 yr max allow.) I agree totally with all you say in your article, except for one unanswered question in Zechariah chap. 14 a Jewish believer friend pointed this out that Israel’s times of trouble has not ended and Zech 14 v 2 when all the nations will come against her – this has not yet happened – what is your understanding of Zechariah 14? David has spoken on P.E. radio on Zechariah 12 – 14. We both believe that the Rapture theory is a heresy.

  6. Stan. When the eternal books are opened they will record that you had one son in a combat unit and one in a service unit. This is your potential sacrifice. You yourself have never had the opportunity of taking the oath of allegiance . The men and women in this position can speak from a different perspective than you. All respect to you Stan but remember those of us who have taken this oath with commitment often see things from another angle. Ron. NZ

  7. I enjoyed your article. I pray for the shalom of Yerushalayim more than daily. YHVH God has always had watchmen on the wall ( Isaiah 62 ) since the creation of Ha Makom ( THE PLACE ). Yerushalayim on earth and Yerushalayim Shel Ma’ala ( above ), the Jerusalem Abraham was looking for ( Heb 11) is the centre of the universe.
Israel is written on the palms of God’s hands.
    “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.
    17 “Your builders hurry;
    Your destroyers and devastators
Will depart from you.” Isaiah 49:16

“ISRAEL” the pupil of His eye.

“He found him ( Jacob ) in a desert land,
    And in the howling waste of a wilderness;
He encircled him, He cared for him,
He guarded him as the pupil of His eye. Deu 32: 11

True believers in Yeshua are grafted into a rich root and it is our privilege to learn more of ” The mystery of Israel” and bless His heavenly and earthly brothers. Let God do the judging of anyone on this planet

    There are 3 people groups

In 1 Cor 10: 32 Paul writes ” Give no offense either to JEWS or to NATIONS or to the CHURCH OF GOD We as believers in Yeshua, are a NEW CREATION IN MESSIAH. Old things have passed away, ALL things are new in our Adonai.

His earthly brothers will soon say ” Blessed is He who comes in the name of The Lord “

  8. All the world ‘s trouble is leading to this….
I love truth it always makes me happy, my soul is happily rejoicing over this truth, the “Temple Mount: House of Prayer for All Nations “. Israel is Gods inheritance and the Gentiles are Israel’s inheritance, Isiah 19:25 Isaiah 54:3And soon their will be a righteous eternal world with Israel as the head of all nations. Genesis 12:3 When YHVH/Jesus created the world, this was His plan and it will be accomplished. It is time to favor Zion Psalm 102 13. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem Psalm 122:6

  9. Impressive article Stan! Well written! I am SO RELIVED that I support the Jews and Israel every step of the way. In fact I have a radio programme on Saturday evenings called “The Truth about Israel! I get a lot of calls – both good and bad but I will keep going until Daddy tells me to stop! \o/

  10. Dear Stan, Franny and Family,

Brilliantly written and factual in every way. God Bless you abundantly for making The Truth so clear.
The Church is deeply in need of repentance.
The DVD : “The Lion Roars” is excellent in it s presentation and boldly states that The Reformation MUST STILL BE COMPLETED.
The Church has been living in a bubble – another quote from this outstanding DVD that every Church and every Believer needs to see.
The Church was born out of the wounds of Messiah Jesus’ side upon The Cross of Calvary – when are we going represent His Heart ?
He loves His own People with an EVERLASTING LOVE AND HE IS A COVENANT KEEPING GOD FOREVER AND FOREVERMORE !!!!

    Shabbat Shalom,

  11. I would certainly see it the way you do, Maria, and should have worded that more carefully. Thank you for pointing it out. I shall go in and reword it. Blessings to you too.

  12. Isaiah 26:17 Like as a woman with child that draweth near her time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O Lord 18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. 19 Thy dead shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out her dead. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut the doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21 For behold, the Lord cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth shall also disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

  13. I wish more Jews would come to realize that they don’t have to stop being Jewish to follow Yeshua. I have an Israeli friend in Tiberius who says 40 % of the Jews there are now believers although he says he estimates only about 5% are believers acros the nation of Israel. Go Tiberius! I follow Yeshua and I have not stopped being a Gentile.

  14. Keep watching on the wall Brother Stan!
If the times of the Gentiles are not completely over, then they are certainly closing.
God’s focus will only be on Israel when “the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled”
    Keep the posts coming.
    I am with you.
    So is He.

  15. I Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God (70 AD); and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well-doing, as unto a faithful creator.

  16. ARISE
    By Mary Carol

    Arise God’s mighty army
    In righteous stand they
    Upon God’s Holy Mountain high
    In robes of white arrayed

    The Lion roars from Zion
    The wicked meet their fate
The cup of trembling is prepared
For those who thrive on hate

The groom will soon be near
The bride her heart so longs
    The marriage soon to hear
    The feast and wedding song

Let those who mourn for Zion
Dry the tears from your weary eyes
The wicked you shall see no more
For God’s light upon you shall rise

  17. Stan; what great writing; and I do agree 100%. there was a time that I believed what I was been taught; until I started reading for my self; and asking for wisdom and understanding and our FATHER IN HEAVEN gave it to me and I was seeing thing’s that was not true that was being taught from the pulpit. So my search for the TRUTH BEGIN. I was so over-whelmed at what I was learning about SCRIPTURES and the lies from the pulpit, I cried so much to think the things that people believed, because they don’t search out these things I look forward to reading your post.Ya’HOVAH has giving you a great insight. THANK YOU.

  18. Dear Stan, thank you for your article, the truth of which I adhere to totally, and wished this truth could be yelled out from the rooftops of every Church!! One comment I would make, I can’t agree that God would ever ” inflict more pain and devastation” on His people in the manner stated….” How could it be, that God who is inherently “good” and cannot be evil in any way, shape or form, inflict ‘more’ pain, meaning he has done it before? Hear me out….correct me if I’m wrong…

Isn’t it man, who has inflicted untold pain and suffering on the Jewish people? Yes God banished His people from the land for their rebellion, and disciplined, and were taken captive by other nations, but it was those nations that were unnecessarily cruel and violent towards the Jewish people, at times to the point of extinction. God never gave a green light for His people to be so badly treated through out the centuries, it was man-made. In my understanding, it was not God inflicting pain, other than banishment from the land as punishment for their sins… God said the nations who were so unnecessarily cruel to His people would be judged for doing so. Just some thoughts. Blessings

  19. While writing my comment above, I wanted clear that NO ONE Replaces Israel..that the ones who love Her are grafted into Her..

  20. Reading Romans 9-10-and 11, where I read in Romans 11:1, G-d says HE has not forgotten HIS Chosen and we know HE never will. Those who love the Jews and our precious G-d , know that gentiles are grafted into Israel as scripture says. not replaced. and many do not read the word, how G-d blinded the Jews so the heathen gentiles could become sons of G-d. the Gentiles owe them a debt as they gave us the apostles and scripture and our Messiah and that Salvation came thru the Jews. Since Israel became a nation scripture tells us this is the generation that we will see HIM..and knowing that Israel will win all the last three wars and on the last is when G-d will roar thru Zion and destroy all the nations coming against HER and in the end, All Israel will be saved. Shalom they are my heart ..

  21. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing John 18:20

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

  22. Thank you for your reply. We could discuss which parts, but some of Joel 2 has been fulfilled, other parts have been partially fulfilled, and the rest will yet be fulfilled. Likewise with Zechariah 13. The foundational principle as laid out through the greatest prophet in the Tanach is, they come into the land for blessing, and disobedience leads to curses that culminates in them being driven back out of the land. So it was – twice. But the second ingathering is final – there is no third exile; and it is for blessing and follows AFTER the terrible curses have been experienced. In this final, glorious instance, the Lord restores them IN UNBELIEF and then circumcises their hearts. There is no prophetic sequence relating to the ingathering for national redemption that has a further terrible suffering component. Not one.

  23. How horribly true, brother Stan, and how shocked will so many be, when they understand the entire context and meaning of Matthew 25:31-46! Thanks for putting the truth out there, my brother, and G-d bless you!

  24. I am a Jewish believer in Yeshua that has spent a lot of time studying the word. I agree The Lord has a great destiny for Israel, but your compassionate conclusion defies much scripture which is yet to be fulfilled. Both Joel chapter 2 and Zechariah 13 point to a time of great trouble which brings Israel to repentance and revival. Historically these events have yet to be fulfilled. But I have no doubt there is a great awakening destined for Israel as a nation. And I am here in Israel not hoping for severe judgement on a nation steeped in sin, but on a just God that will fulfill His word and save all of Israel. Even Isaiah 17 begins with Damascus being destroyed and then very hard lean times for Israel, which is still yet future. I am not afraid of how the Lord brings Yeshua, but that His plan for Israel’s Salvation be accomplished.

  25. Though I disagree with many of the statements you made about Bible Prophecy, the Bible is also clear{and the title of your article affirms this},that the nations who turn against Israel, God will curse them. The Bible says that ‘I{God}will bless those who bless you ,and curse those who curse you'{this is again referring to the nation of Israel}.So you are right that it will be bad for the nations who turn against Israel — any nation. This is one of the reasons{I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again} — Mr. Obama {for the sake of Israel and the United States}needs to resign — right away!

  26. “And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be torn up out of their land which I give them.” Amos 9:15

This is the verse that sprang into my mind as I read your post tonight. Indeed, God has brought His people back home again, gathering them under His wings of providence and protection, and they will never lose their land again. As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared during his recent speech before the US Congress, “Israel is not alone.” While he might have been speaking to the members of the House and Senate who stand with his nation, I believe he was really talking about Almighty God. And he is right. God will always stand with His chosen people and nation and will stand between them and the hostile forces bent on destroying them. I have heard the same beliefs you mentioned above concerning Christian views of Israel and the End Times. To be perfectly honest, I really do not understand much of the End Times prophecies and eschatology. I agree with you that
God did not regather His children in Israel in order for them to go through some horrible tribulation. Even though they are literally surrounded by hostile forces determine to wipe them off the face of the planet, I believe that if and when the enemies of the people and nation of Israel attempt to strike them, or to divide the city of Jerusalem, they better be prepared to encounter Jehovah Nissi on the battlefield. Because if and when that day comes, the enemies of Israel, who are actually the enemies of God, will wish they had never been born.

  27. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
You have enlightened me today and I agree 100%. I’ve always struggled with the church teaching about Israel. He is bringing them home for safety reasons. I fly my Israeli flag in my back garden with pride. Reminding me to pray Psalm 122:6. Blessings

  28. My dear Stan…… There is so much I would like to comment about on your amazing post…..but, I can onlymanage a whispered word, with blurred vision and rejoicing heart….. AMEN!! \o/
