Parasite – a plant or animal that lives on or in an organism of another species from which it derives sustenance or protection without benefit to, and usually with harmful effects on, the host (yourdictionary.com);

a person who receives support, advantage, or the like, from another or others without giving any useful or proper return, as one who lives on the hospitality of others (dictionary.com)

While it caused outrage in some – mostly Jewish – circles internationally, the Palestinian Authority’s attempt this week to have UNESCO Islamicise the Western Wall in Jerusalem and the tombs of Israel’s founding fathers in Hebron and declare them part of ‘Palestine,’ was hardly unforeseen.

Since the 2012 UN vote to legitimize ‘Palestine’ by awarding it observer nation status, the Arab leadership of this fictitious state has sought to use UN-affiliated anti-Semitic bodies to facilitate its quest to eliminate Israel.

Their technique – a parasitic appropriation and subsuming of the Jewish history in this land – is hardly new.

One thousand, eight hundred and eighty years ago, a Roman emperor sought to obliterate all Jewish connection to this place.

Hadrian erased the identity of the capital – known as Jerusalem for a thousand years – by calling it Aelia Capitolino after himself and his god.

Judea – the Jews’ millennia-long national home – he renamed ‘Palestine’ in honour of Israel’s ancient enduring foe – the Philistines.

In both name and deed the Arabs who less than a half-century ago, mainly under Yasser Arafat, decided to make that moniker – Palestinian – their national identity are indubitably Hadrian’s heirs.

Since 1920 there has been a systematic Muslim effort to purloin the land by stealing the history, claiming that the Jews are taking for themselves the Arabs’ spiritual and historical and geographical connections.

But it is the Arabs who are the thieves.

Followers of this history will know that this is a strategy often adopted by the Palestinian Arabs – to project the nature of their own crimes onto the Jews. In other words, if you want to know what the Arabs are up to, pay attention to what they accuse the Jews of doing.

Effectively, from start to finish, the Arab version of history in this land is based on denial, destruction, fabrication and usurpation.

Islam – the religion of 97 percent of the Palestinian Arabs – appropriates, perverts and falsifies the Biblical record of the Jews’ history, from their national creation and establishment in, to their national expulsion from, this land.

While the Quran makes no mention of Jerusalem, and Mohammed never set foot in the city, Islam asserts that ‘the prophet’ made a ‘night journey’ to the Temple Mount (the Noble Sanctuary as they call it) and from there ascended to heaven. On this unfounded myth Muslims lay claim to the Temple Mount as their ‘third holiest site.’ Of course it is Israel’s most holy site – but no-one in the world will champion the Jews’ right to pray there.

The WAQF – the Islamic authority that is permitted to control this ‘Sanctuary’ – has overseen the wanton destruction of antiquities in its depths that substantiate Jewish historical claims to the land, the city and the Temple Mount.

Arafat specialized in Temple denial – publicly rejected any suggestion that the temples of Solomon and Herod ever stood in Jerusalem, and in 2000 used Israel’s insistence that its temples were constructed there to ignite the ‘second intifada.’ Temple denial reportedly then “spread across the Middle East like wildfire,” and even “subtly slipped into the writing of Middle-East based western reporters.” *

Palestinian Arab ‘scholars’ frequently appear on PA and Jordanian television to rebut Jews’ historical ties to the land.

Jesus has been made a Palestinian.

The Arabs claim that they are the indigenous people here, but their origin is the Arabian Peninsula. While there may be 22 Arab states, there is only one Arab nation – and it is they who are the occupiers of the Middle East and North Africa

It is the Jews who are the aboriginals of this land in which they have had a continuous presence for more than 3000 years.

Call it stealth jihad or creeping encroachment, having the Western Wall of the Temple Mount declared a Muslim holy site is simply the logical next step in the sowing of the mother of all big lies.

The Arabs have been growing their parasitic nature over everything Jewish to smother it, so that only the ‘Palestinian’ version is visible and the Jewish truth dies underneath.

One glance at global media, at international powerbrokers, and it becomes apparent which version has the credibility. Lies have become truth and truth has been made redundant. The two have become so inverted it appears lies are fast shaping into the only truth out there.

The ‘real’ truth, for those with discernment, is sharply accentuated against the counterfeit, but there is only one instrument – the Bible – which gives Christians eyes to see and it is becoming increasingly unpopular in the nations wielding global clout.

Moreover, centuries of the heresy known as Replacement Theology have rendered many Christians unable to read it with acumen and clarity.

God-fearing, truth-loving people need to beware, and to be on their guard against being sucked into the vortex of deception and lies. The Lord is very clear in the Bible – if we would just read it and take Him at His Word – about His restoration of the Jewish people to the land He has promised to them forever, the land where He has put His name. He is the “God of truth” (Isaiah 65:16) and no phony ‘truth’ is going to stop what He is doing.

Postscript: It has been some years since I was collared by police and marched unceremoniously off the Temple Mount for praying under a tree between the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

After playing the innocent ignorant with the WAQF officials who yanked me up off my knees, asking them why I could not pray outside the mosques (their reply, the whole Temple Mount is a mosque); telling them I thought we were praying to the same god (I don’t think anything of the sort of course); saying I’d heard Islam is a religion of tolerance and peace (they ignored that one) – I let them have it – the truth.

There is only one God and He is the LORD God of Israel (Judges 11:21).

The Temple Mount is His holy hill (Psalm 99:9), the place of His throne (Ezekiel 43:7), and He desires to dwell there (Psalm 132:13). He has put His name (Nehemiah 1:9) there (Allah seeks to usurp Him – declaring in the mosaics on the golden dome that there is no god but Allah and that he has no son) and He has declared that He will yet (against all efforts and odds and opposition) set His king on that holy Hill (Psalm 2:6).

It is worth noting how the events of recent weeks lead to this latest brazen Arab attempt at identity theft of the Western Wall:

Beginning on September 13, as Jews prepared to celebrate Rosh Hashana, Arabs began what became three consecutive weeks of rioting on the Temple Mount. One after another Muslim leaders in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey and Iran warned Israel that they would not stand for its “assault on Al-Aqsa”.

Condemnation of Israel became increasingly hysterical and incitement grew.

On September 16, Abbas publicly incited violence against Jews and accused Jews of defiling the Temple Mount: “The Al-Aqsa [Mosque] is ours… and they have no right to defile it with their filthy feet. We will not allow them to, and we will do everything in our power to protect Jerusalem. … We bless every drop of blood that has been spilled for Jerusalem, which is clean and pure blood, blood spilled for Allah. Every Martyr will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah.” ***

The UN’s Mideast envoy warned that clashes between Israelis and ‘Palestinians’ in and around Jerusalem’s holy sites have the potential to ignite violence well beyond the walls of its Old City. Abbas himself ‘cautioned’ that the violence could trigger World War Three.

On September 30, Abbas told the UN General Assembly that the Palestinian Arabs were no longer bound by the Oslo Agreements.

Immediately following his speech, stabbing and ramming attacks against Israelis intensified, exacerbating in turn international anger and fear.

But instead of rounding on and threatening the Palestinian Authority leaders with censure if they continue to call for the death of Jews, the typically expressionless UN Secretary General Ban ki Moon has called for restraint and for an internal investigation into ‘excessive Jewish force.’ The EU’s foreign policy chief Frederica Mogherini has said, with academic restraint, that the Two State Solution is the solution, and US Secretary of State John Kerry has exasperatedly fingered Jewish settlers as the real demons.

Having successfully engineered a violent situation emanating from the Temple Mount and getting the world to blame it on the Jews, the PA is seizing the opportunity to get its hands on these holy Jewish places.*

* At the time of writing, the PA resolution has dropped its inclusion of the Western Wall for now, but is pushing ahead for the Islamicisation of the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb near Bethlehem.
