Passover to CLAIM the Land

Clinton’s voice had the slippery quality of the seductive serpent who asked Eve, “Has God indeed said…?” (Genesis 3:1)

“We are entering the season of Passover,” the American secretary of state told AIPAC on March 22, a week before the 3,500-year-old biblical feast began.

Wearing the accomplished diplomat’s smile – the one that doesn’t quite reach the eyes – this gentile woman unabashedly put her spin on the account of the Exodus for her Jewish listeners.

“The story of Moses,” she said, “resonates for people of all faiths and it teaches us many lessons, including that we must take risks, even a leap of faith, to reach the promised land. When Moses urged the Jews to follow him out of Egypt, many objected. They said it was too dangerous, too hard, too risky.  And when they came to the very edge of the promised land, there were still some who refused to enter because it was too dangerous, too hard and too risky.”

But, Clinton said as she made her point, just as “Israel’s history is the story of brave men and women who took risks … this generation of Israelis must also take up the tradition and do what seems too dangerous, too hard and too risky.”

Just what is this dangerous risk Clinton and Obama are increasingly insistent that Israel must take? The answer is nothing new: for years, consecutive United States governments have been using carrots and sticks to try get Israel to surrender the heart of the Jews’ historical homeland, so that Israel’s avowed enemies can create a Palestinian state upon the relinquished territory.

The pipedream? That once the land has been given up, the Arab side will finally agree to suspend its hostilities against the Jews.

The reality, for this risk won’t pay off: a State of Palestine bristling with weapons, infused with odium and backed up by concentric circles of Israel-hating Islamic states will dominate the high ground over truncated Israel down on the coastal plain below.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama believe themselves to be safe are safe in their mighty United States, a nation that has never known the applied threat of genocide, let alone extinction. Using dirty diplomatic pressure, these people are trying to coerce the Jews – who just a few years ago were nearly wiped out by Nazi Germany and who have, since their independence, had to fight to survive in the Middle East – to risk that very existence just so that Americans can continue to sleep peacefully in their beds at night.

As I say, this is nothing new.

What is noteworthy is Clinton’s modus operandi, her strategy of choice. She chose to use the Bible to try and hammer her point home.

Of course, this is disingenuous. For according to the very scriptures that Clinton alludes to, the very end goal of the Exodus was that God would be keeping His promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give their descendants “all the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession.” Does Madam Secretary realize that this scriptural promise includes not only present day Israel but the Gaza Strip and the so-called West Bank,  as well as parts of Jordan, Lebanon and a great chunk out of Syria?

God liberated the Israelites from Egypt for the express purpose of giving them the land that Clinton and her boss want to take away from them.

They can try until they are blue in the face, it’ll never happen.
