No weapon formed against Israel shall prosper

I feel to write a brief but direct letter in the face of resistance that will almost certainly come from some quarters to the ‘Australia Initiative’ that has now gone out to raise up Christians – beginning in Australia and going around the world, to stand strongly and unequivocally with Israel’s right to her land.

As we know, too many Christians shy away from what is perceived political when it comes to standing with Israel or withstanding the enemies of the Jews.

Please permit me to make a crystal clear point that I hope will help us identify the evil and the danger confronting Israel today, and help make us resolved as to how to position ourselves in relation to it.

Many of us recognize that Christians by and large failed the Jewish people by keeping silent and/or looking the other way during World War Two. We have pledged, either in our hearts or even verbally or by our actions to the Jewish people today, that we will never be silent again.

And yet, we are opting for silence.

For 25 years now, I have watched a weapon being developed whose purpose is to destroy the Jewish state. This weapon has been shaped and maneuvered and pushed ahead with until today it stands on the brink of production.

Virtually the whole world supports – and many nations have lent a willing hand to assist in – the manufacture of this weapon, even though its raison d’être to ensure Israel’s eradication has been openly and clearly declared. More than this, we can all testify to the fact that Israel’s very acquiescence under unrelenting international pressure along the stages of production of this weapon has increased the threat to Jewish life and in fact led to a terrifying number of deaths of Jews (and Arabs too).

The weapon is the State of Palestine – one of the components the world is determined will comprise the Two State Solution.

Everything about the creation of Palestine is immoral; everything about it is detrimental to Israel and spells death and destruction to the Jewish people in their homeland. I don’t believe I need to substantiate this statement to my regular readers. We have all been following this ‘peace process’ closely and for long enough.

To take a determined and public stand against the Two State Solution is not to be political. It is to be true to our pledge to the Jewish people that we will never be silent again when the means to their destruction is being prepared.

As Christians we should resist the evil of the Two State Solution with the same unswerving determination displayed by men like Dietrich Bonheoffer, who followed his conscience – against the appeals and counsel of many other Christian leaders – and did everything he could to oppose the enemy.

Bonheoffer had watched with growing concern and alarm the development of the satanic weapon for the destruction of the Jewish people that manifested itself in his day. He identified the evil and, just two days after Hitler came to power, went on air to warn his fellow German believers of the threat posed by the Fuhrer.

He was not being political. He was being righteous. And he was willing to lay down his life to resist the evil for the sake of his nation and to help save Jews.

I would plead with all those I know who love the Lord and who love His Chosen People. Let us not succumb to the myriad efforts to obfuscate with theological or political reasoning the terrible truth that is as plain as the noses on our faces.

Standing on the Word of God, on His everlasting covenant of the land; reminding Him of His numerous promises to restore long-scattered Israel and to keep them in this land, and not forgetting that the fate of our nations rests on whether or not they put their hand to the dividing of this land, may we unite our voices to publicly identify the Two State Solution as leading to just another attempted manifestation of the Final Solution – and pledge that with God’s help we will oppose it with all of our might, as long as He gives us breath.

For Zion’s sake, Christian Zionists – we dare not hold our peace

With you on the walls
Stan

  1. My prayers are for Israel ; And against the leaders of the U.S. that are voting in government to reduce Israel strength .
military political spiritual or any other methods against Israel .
To illustrate how bad our government these political leaders or they
sponsor an abomination to the Supreme Deity of the Universe
I might call him by a different name but he is still the same
    power or Entity .

  2. I have a great love for the Jewish people who have given so much to the world. Jesus was born a Jew, and the Holy Bible was written by Jewish apostles. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem

  3. Isiah 54 :17 is one of my favourite verses in Scripture. The Lord God of Israel says to His people : ” No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue (word) spoken against you in justice, you must refute : this is your inheritance” !!
I heartily applaud you in your unwavering stand for Israel. I would add that we should be encouraged to know that the promise is that of the Almighty God. The weapons referred to includes first and foremost words. Forget not that the Word of God is a mighty weapon. The devil, liar and copycat, also employs words aimed at destroying the inheritance the verse speaks of.
The promise is however coupled to a condition : that we refute every word (lie) spoken against Israel ( and I suppose the Body of Christ). We need only do our part. Our God will see to the fulfilment of His promise.
So in every sense I agree to the sentiments expressed by you : it seems to me to be in line with God`s requirement of us as expressed in this verse!! May our God continue to embolden you and many others to show our faith in the Almighty God and DO what he desires and commands. How else can we SHOW Him that we love Him?? He is not really interested in our confession of our love for Him : what we DO will SHOW him whether we truly love Him. That`s what Jesus told Peter when Peter said that he loved Jesus : SHOW ME DON`T TELL ME.
The thought expressed by one correspondent that ideas as to how we can go about this task should be spread around is, I think, a good one.

    Godbless

  4. Shalom Stan
Thank you for this wonderfull clear message. I cannot believe it is happening the way it is happening. The palestinians are a thorn in Gods eye. What are they doing there in the land, taking the place of Israel. They do not belong there. I beleive Gods judgments will soon be released over it. It cannot go on any longer like this. We truly must stand up against this what the palestinians are doing. I have been writing politicians who have to vote about a palestinian state. Unfortunately some of them choose to be an enemy of God. Lets continnue speaking up for Israel always. Blessings Dina Vinke (Holland)

  5. Dear Stan,
Yes, it is time, that the body of Messiah stands on HIS Word and lives it out. In Europe the states bow down to the Moslems who occupy our land and force down their rules and if they do not get it they rise up. Believers must wake up!!!! We must go back to our roots to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Test everything with scripture that your Pastor preaches. I realised that most of the Churchfathers lied to me most of my life, sad, but true. I think that is the reason most believers do not know the TRUTH about Israel and HIS people. We must stand in our faith in Messiah, before persecution hits us worldwide, then we need brothers and sisters to stand together. Yes ,we must stand with Israel and HIS people and where we can, help them, not only talk. Bless Israel

  6. A jolt went through me while reading this posting the other morning, as it was a strong confirmation of something the LORD just recently prompted me to do. Ten days prior, I had listened to an online sermon from a popular and prominent evangelical church familiar to us, in a nearby city. When referring to Israel, the pastor used the designation “Palestine”. When visiting there over past years, I had heard him do this on a number of occasions. Each time I came away very upset. This time I couldn’t let it go, and feeling the LORD’s prompting, I sent him an email explaining that we had visited his church quite a variety of times over the years, and now, in listening to one of his online sermons, I had again noted his use of the designation “Palestine”. I told him I found it perplexing and asked him why he would choose to do this. He answered me with an online encyclopedia excerpt giving a secular definition of the term Palestine. After mulling over his disturbing and impersonal answer, the only reply that seemed to fit was, “Do you then see Israel as the occupier?” He again avoided giving a personal answer, “beat around the bush” instead, and was “curious as to why I was asking him the question(s)”. I reiterated that his use of the term “Palestine” in place of the term “Israel”, had gotten my attention on a variety of occasions, and his choice of answers had now piqued my curiosity further. Then I once again presented him with the question, this time putting his name right into it: “Do you, Pastor ________, then see Israel as the occupier?” He has not responded. Sadly, his silence says it all! My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will pursue him with this simple, yet eternally important question! May it pierce his heart and bring him to the truth!

The very day after sending off the initial email to Pastor _______, we received our copy of the DVD, Let the Lion Roar. If you have not yet watched it, it is a must for all those who stand with Israel! We were so impacted by it, that we plan to give away copies to pastors, churches, local Christian schools (K – 12), etc. as the Spirit leads. Here, where we live, most pastors, bible colleges, and literally all formerly solid evangelical denominations, have turned against Israel and have embraced the pro-Palestinian stance. May our Mighty God have mercy!

  7. AMEYN ! AMEYN ! Timeously spoken and written.

Blessings and SHABBAT SHALOM upon you and your precious Family, Stan.

  8. Stan,

People all over the world need to push for the leaders of their own countries to stop capitulating to the threat of Muslim terrorism in their countries. As you and I and others have seen over the past 15+ years together on the Walls, one way the Muslims have set out to set the course against Israel has been to migrate to Europe. Indeed, they have done so. They’ve also rioted, attacked people, and committed heinous crimes which no other groups of people would gave gotten away with. Of course, the world tends to blame Israel for the extreme anger of the Palestinians (sic). It is helpful to share world geographic history and to also read the scriptural foundation for the existence. I shall continue to stand on those Walls with fellow Christians as we sound the alarm!

  9. Amen !!
Evil is simply going against God’s word, …..God’s word is being fulfilled ……
“God’s Move is on “( and has been since 1917) to bring Israel back to their land that He has promised to give them forever.
    God’s word is truth (John17:17), a)d it is forever……..
“Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.” Ezekiel 11:16,17 Genesis 12:3 “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Dueteronomy 11:26-27″A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.”

  10. Israel’s history was written in advance; Isa.43:1-10, and God’s assurance given that He would never abandon her Jer.31:10., Amos 9:14. Things are going to get much worse for Israel before getting better–much better. It is clear that Israel will be under full attack by her enemies when Messiah intervenes to save her; Exek. 36:17-26 (note v. 22). This will mark the beginning of Messiah’s reign over not just Israel, but all the earth; Zechariah 14:16. Even so, come Lord Jesus!

  11. Susan, we can get our hands dirty; instead of shying away from ‘politics’ let’s take hold of our congressmen and senators and insist that they stop coercing Israel into agreeing to the Two State Solution. And if they persist in pushing Israel towards this suicidal ‘peace’ deal, then let’s fast and pray them out of office. Read Psalm 149 to see what our inheritance is as saints of God and the authority we have, under Him, over our political leaders. Your media daily publishes ‘news’ reports about Israel that champion the false Arab claim to this land and undermine the Jewish claim. Write to your newspapers or the newsmen and women on your television stations and challenge them when they ‘report’ in such an anti-Israel and pro-Arab way. The enemy is busy day and night. We should be too.

  12. thank you stan for standing up and speaking succinctly about our need in America to stand firm on Israel’s God-given right to ALL of her own land. We must Vote for the man who loves Israel!

  13. Hi Glenn – It is important to pray for Israel’s leaders – yes of course. But can I say that the restoration of Israel thus far has not happened because Jews acted in faith – most didn’t (most Jewish Zionists have been secular); but because men and women of faith went before them. This is the God-glorifying history of Christian Zionism. We need to be doing it FOR God and FOR Israel, I believe, rather than praying that God will move on Israel’s leaders to do it.

  14. Dom – thank you for your comment. I think the point I am trying to emphasize is that we as Christians – people of faith – need to stand up to ensure that the Two State Solution does NOT happen. We are not fatalists who believe that what will be will be. Rather, we understand that God in His foreknowledge of all things sees and knows whether or not we will co-labour with Him to ensure that the enemy does not succeed in his ways.

  15. I think it would be great to post some practical things that we Christians can do on a daily basis. Pray, yes. Support Israel through supporting missions that operate in Israel – not for the benefit of converting them, but for the benefit of helping them. What else can we do?

  16. Every U.S. president in recent past has promised, before being elected, that he would move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem like all other embassies around the world that are in a nation’s Capitol City. Every one of them has lied and failed and not done as they promised. The Bible says that ALL nations will go against Israel and I believe it’s coming soon. I pray that Israel has leaders that stand against the world’s opinions and stands fast to the promises of their Creator, Master YHVH Elohim, the Holy One of Israel….. and does not acquiesce to all of the “bully” nations that want Israel to give the land that the Creator gave to the descendants of Avraham, Yitskhak, and Yaakov in an EVERLASTING covenant forever and ever to their sworn enemies that want to “wipe them off the face of the earth”.

  17. Leif – Please read Matthew 25 with emphasis on verses 31-46. Having done this – hopefully – and trusting in the covering of prayer and grace – would you still claim a true christian doesn’t need speak up?

Would you concur that a true christian makes a profession to be as such? If so, how encompassing is this proclaimation? What are the details of this profession?

  18. Stan if bible prophecy is correct and the Gog Magog war is to happen surely a “2 state solution” or division of Israel will never occur as no invasion would be necessary and certainly wouldn’t or cant take place after such a war. I feel the rhetoric of a 2 state solution and Israels reluctance to acknowledge it (Bibi’s anyway) and continued settlement building (totally justified i might add) is the fuel to the fire to all muslims wringing their hands knowing they cant get close to Israel. I honestly cant see a division or 2 state solution happening…..but hey you never know. Take care, keep watching

  19. I believe you are wrong Leif. The world rejects Israel’s claim to the cradle of Jewish civilization, the central geographical parts of the land promised them by God. The world rejects their claim to Jerusalem as their capital. The United Nations does not – and never has had – the moral authority to substantiate the right of the Jewish people to their ancestral lands. The land has always been theirs and they have never relinquished their claim to it. God gave it to them. Those who have a problem with this, or who don’t believe in God – are welcome to their opinions but they hold no water. As for the San Remo Accords thaht ratified the Balfour Declaration – on what grounds can you claim them obsolete or invalid? The founding charter of the UN to whom you point as an authority maintains the validity of international law promulgated by the League of Nations.

  20. I have always stood with Israel, always will, they are my heart. we know genesis 12:3 tells us if we don’t are cursed. The Jews have blessed the world for so much , how can anyone not love them..Shalom

  21. Much needed words for today~if only the world had ears to hear, eyes to see, and hearts of understanding. But the enemy has been diligent to see that they don’t have the capacity to comprehend what is actually happening and the ramifications of their actions against Israel. And yet, it is all in God’s plan to bring about His Glory and the Return of the King of Kings. God give us the strength and courage to spread this truth to the nations, regardless of the price, and to keep looking up as our Lord and Savior instructed in Luke 21!
    Standing with you, Stan!

  22. There is no need for Christians “to stand strongly and unequivocally with Israel’s right to her land.” That right was earned in 1948 when nations of the world recognized Israel as a legitimate state of the world, starting with USA and the Soviet Union. Today, most of the world’s nations (except for most Arab nations) recognize Israel by having either embassies, consulates or representatives in Israel.
Forget the San Remo accords of 1920 or the implementation of the Balfour declaration by the League of Nations. They are both obsolete and invalid, but most of all unneccessary. Israel is by the virtue of her recognition by the UN and the nations of the world a legitimate state as any other such.

  23. We must NOT remain silent. Lift our voices in Unity: “NEVER AGAIN!”
Vote in the US next Presidential
election a Candidate who will in
actions & deeds NOT push the 2
    State Solution. The US suffers
    traumatic events, God’s judgment?
When our Leaders meet to pressure
Israel into the 2 State solution. No
other country would accept the daily
terror acts. Israel Doesn’t NEED to ask
permission from ANY country for the
right to PROTECT it’s Citizens or territory. NEVER AGAIN. ..Go Speak out
Let me know where the Rally or
Occupy UN etc…I will be there to
Support Israel. My Bible says ” I will
Bless them that Bless You,and curse
them that curse You” I believe and Trust
Father God’s Word is Truth; Trust Worthy
and Not man that He would lie.
