Well, was it God, or wasn’t it?

For behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. ‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.’” (Jeremiah 30:3)

Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”’ … Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God. (Ezekiel 11:17, 19, 20 – emphasis added)

We need to stop vacillating, Christian Zionists! We have to stop obfuscating! For the sake of the Name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Who we say we wish to be representatives of on this earth, we should make up our minds and determine our position – choosing unequivocally where we stand!

And we need to stop our ears to those of our Christians ‘leaders’ who – when it comes to the people and the land of Israel – keep tying us up in theological knots with their wishy-washy or wobbly interpretations of Scripture, rendering us no good to either God, Israel, or the Church!

The day is beyond critical. We have to resolve what is our position; we have to make up our minds. We have a tremendously important task to fulfill, and it calls for decisiveness, for boldness, and above all for unshakeable conviction that we are rightly positioned on the Word of God.

I challenge everyone who calls him/herself a Christian Zionist to ask: Do you, or do you not, believe that the God of Israel has been behind the following? (Consider carefully before you answer):

# In the more than one hundred years of Jewish immigration, God, in fulfillment of His Word and prophetic promises, has been restoring the Jewish people to the land He gave them.

Do you believe, as confirmation of the above:

# that God used the victorious allied forces in World War 1 to liberate this land from Islamic rule and open it up for the return of the Jews.

# that through the League of Nations, God awarded Great Britain a mandate to restore the land of Israel to the Jewish people.

# that in a Hell-inspired effort to prevent the Jews’ return, Hitler sought to exterminate them and – whether or not it meant to – the Royal Navy assisted him by blockading the land to cut off escape for Europe’s Jews; that Great Britain betrayed its mandate.

# that in 1948, in a narrow window of opportunity, made possible by the world’s brief moment of horror in response to the Holocaust, Israel was reborn as a nation, in a single day, exactly as foretold by the prophet Isaiah and virtually all the other prophets in the Bible; that Israel arose, quite literally, out of the ashes of the Holocaust; that it was a ‘God-thing’ – the Almighty foreknew, foretold and brought about the resurrection of Israel.

# that in its 1947-49 War of Independence, God gave the new Israeli army victory over multiple Arab enemies; that God protected the Jewish people against overwhelming odds, securing their national rebirth.

# that in 1967, Israel miraculously won what became known as the Six Day War, driving Islamic occupiers Jordan and Egypt off the soil of the Holy Land and, after more than 2000 years of Gentile rule, returning this land – including the ancient parts of Jerusalem, together with Mount Moriah, the Mountain of the Lord – to Jewish control; that in this war, it was God who restored to the Jews more of the land He had given them.

Do you believe:

# that for more than 25 years, the Arab states – through war – and the Gentile nations – through diplomacy and pressure – have been trying to wrest back control of these parts of the land, and create in them another Arab state called Palestine; that every attempt – even the many that have had Israel’s active and ready if reluctant participation – has failed to dislodge the Jewish people from their birthright ; that God has kept this land under the administration of the Jewish people; that He has not allowed the restoration of the land to be irrevocably tampered with?

Do you believe:

# that never, not at any point during this more than 130-year process of restoration, has God predicated His work here on a spiritual revival of the Jews; that they were not “godly” when they began to return here in 1882; that they were not “godly” when they battled the British blockade and fought the anti-Semitic actions of the British Mandate; that they were not “godly” when they voted to declare independence in 1948; that the Jews were not in a position of national repentance and turning to God when they won their wars; that God did not demand of them spiritual rebirth and national spiritual revival before He began the process of physical restoration; and that at no point along the way of consolidating this restoration, has God waited for them first to repent from their sins and turn to Him.

Do you believe all of this, or don’t you?

If we believe these things – as many millions of Christians apparently do – then we have to answer another question:

# Should Israel formally claim the lands mandated to her by God as an everlasting inheritance by extending sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Gaza – annexing those lands and making them, by Israeli law, part of the Jewish State?

As a God-fearing Christian who holds – from the Bible – to the beliefs outlined above, do you believe Israel should do this, or don’t you?

I’m not asking whether you think it is a good idea or not in the current geopolitical climate. I am not wondering whether you think you would support the notion if the Israeli government supported it. I am not even considering whether the pro-Israel organisation you support believes this or not.

I am unapologetically confronting you – confronting all of us Christian Zionists – with the pointed question: Do we believe – based on the Word of God, on all that God has foretold, and on all that God has been doing in the last 130 years – that He has restored these territories to the Jews as part of His plan to restore the Kingdom to Israel and to send His Messiah to Jerusalem to reign? And if so, that Israel should extend sovereignty over these lands covenanted to her by God as an everlasting possession?

Do you believe this?

If so, then God has a job for you to do in these critical days.

If not, why not? Have you said, “Yes, I believe this,” to all the questions asked of you above, with the exception of this last one that asks about the lawful inclusion of Gaza, Judea and Samaria into the State of Israel? How do you so clearly see all that God has done up to this point, and yet not see this next step?

If you don’t think you believe that Israel should bring these territories under its full jurisdiction, ask yourself why you don’t. If God restored these lands to the Jews, miraculously, after thousands of years, against all odds and in clear fulfillment of His Word, then why should Israel not extend her sovereignty over this land?

Is it God who has returned the Jews to their land? Yes or no? And is it God Who – through war – has returned the land to the Jews? Yes or no? And was this two-way return the fulfillment of His Word and His promise? Yes or no? Or was it a ‘perhaps’ fulfillment that you want to observe and analyze and ‘pray about’ for a while to see whether or not you are reading it right, lest you be found to be presumptuous?

I put it to you, if you are ambivalent; if you are vacillating; if you are making up solid-sounding ‘Biblical’ arguments about Israel having the right to possess the land but not having the right to live in it (“possession versus domicile,” as it is being packaged) that there is a matter that needs your immediate attention: Do you believe that as Christians we must take God literally at His Word? Do you believe that the Bible alone is the authoritative Word of God?

Could it be, if you are unclear on the issue of Israeli sovereignty, that you are being misled, that you have been left feeling irresolute in your beliefs because you have allowed men whose ‘authority’ and ‘qualification’ is based in their theological degrees or Bible-study prowess to disrupt your understanding and to make you unsure.

Christian Zionist, if you accept this name and what it really stands for, viz. God’s restoration of the Jews to Zion – the land of Israel – and God’s restoration of Zion to the Jewish people, you really had better make up your mind about what you are basing your belief on.

To those who are basing their belief on the literal Word of God and who wholeheartedly embrace the belief that Israel has the God-given right and should annex these lands, may I ask:

Are you declaring it and proclaiming it as your position on the “occupied West Bank,” as the world calls it, but which your belief must absolutely refute?

Are you prepared to take a public stand declaring that you hold to this belief?

If you are a pastor or a minister or the chairman or CEO of a pro-Israel church or ministry or organization, are you prepared to exhort your congregation, fellow ministry workers, members and supporters to take this stand with you? Are you willing to proclaim, or are you perhaps already proclaiming – from your pulpits, in your publications, in letters to the editors of your local news organs – that you believe this? If you are, are you gathering your congregations around you to make yourselves visible to Israel as you stand on her right to claim her God-given inheritance?

For surely, Christian Zionists – if we DO believe all that has been listed above, then we HAVE to believe that Israel should annex these territories, we should make ourselves visible to her so that she can see we believe it, we should call on her to do it, and we should call on our governments to support it.

We should not be swayed by the naysayers. There is a raft of people out there, who do not believe that God has given this land in perpetuity exclusively to the Jewish people, pushing forward a tsunami of arguments that call on Israel to surrender her birthright.

We should not be dissuaded from calling for Israel to annex these lands because of the Arabs who live there, or because of refutable arguments about a demographic time bomb, or because of the global consensus that those lands are illegally occupied by Israel, or because the Israel government says it supports the idea of the two state solution.

Our inheritance is to be salt and light on this earth. And if we believe that God has restored the Jewish people to all of these lands – that it was His sovereign, predestined purpose as is written so clearly in His Word, for them to return and conquer, occupy and settle these lands, then nothing – no argument, no rationale, no plea, no war, should be able to persuade us to back off from, or tone down, professing this belief.

For the truth is that we are sons and daughters of the living God, with authority given by Him to intervene in international affairs (Psalm 149). As believers, with our faith in the immutability of His Word, we need not be afraid to take up a position that is even contrary to “the policies of the democratically-elected government of the State of Israel.”
Moreover, I hold (and may the Lord correct me if I am wrong here) that it is incumbent upon us as believers to go before unbelieving Israel and, proclaiming to her our faith in her God and our belief in the words of her prophets, exhort her to go ahead and possess the land that even she has acknowledged in the past (before the relentless pressures wore away at what faith she had) was miraculously restored to her by HaShem.

The immigration of the Jews from the four corners of the earth, the re-establishment of their national home, the survival, growth and flourishing prosperity of their state, their victories over their enemies and the enlarging of their borders:

Either God is doing this, or He isn’t. If He is, then either we stand with Him, or we don’t. Can we please – together – make up our minds?

Christian Zionists are those who believe that all of this is of the Lord, that the land, in its entirety, belongs exclusively to the Jewish people. They believe that of all the land on earth, Israel is where God has put His name. They believe that God is actively and permanently restoring His people Israel to the land of their inheritance. They believe that Israel has the God-given right – and should use it – to extend sovereignty over all of the territories God has appointed to her. They believe it is Israel’s God-ordained mandate to go forth and fully settle this land, to be its rightful occupiers in the fullest sense of the word.

Can we agree to stand on this, to be visible before Israel on this? She believes she is alone, can we agree to shout out from the nations, in one voice, that she is not?

Please God that we can.

  1. I have a sign on my motorcycle windscreen that says…
    I support the IDF.

Never seen anything similar here in the UK.

The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.
The same yesterday today and forever.
    HIs Word. Faithful and True.

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him.
    And he delivers them!.

  2. My husband and I are in total agreement with you and with the Word of God and we fully expect to see Judea and Samaria and Gaza restored/annexed to Israel. Our prayers are
for Israel, Netanyahu and the Jews around the world.
God bless you, Stan, for your work as a Watchman for Israel to the Body of Christian believers
to awaken them to be a blessing to Israel in all the ways the Lord leads.

  3. I couldn’t agree more with every question posed. I recently thought of two tragic events of recent history:
    1) September, 1993. Clinton orchestrates the handshake between Arafat and Yitzak Rabin. Two years later Rabin is assassinated.
    2) In 2006, Ariel Sharon is encouraged by President Bush and Condileeza Rice to vacate Gaza .A year later, Sharon goes into a coma lasting until his recent death.
For me, these events demonstrate how serious it is to appease the enemy of God’s chosen people!

  4. Amen. If anyone has a problem with the size of Israel now, wait till Yeshua rules and reigns. Read Genesis 15: 17 It came about when the sun had set, that it was very dark, and behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a flaming torch which passed between these pieces. 18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying,

“To your descendants I have given this land,
From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates:

Israel proper will be from the Nile in Egypt to the Euphrates in Iraq. The ” LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH ” will also rule with blessing to those who bless Israel or a rod of iron for those who do not bless Israel. Psalm 2

2 Why are the [a]nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us tear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”

4 He who sits in the heavens laughs,
    The Lord scoffs at them.
5 Then He will speak to them in His anger
And terrify them in His fury, saying,
6 “But as for Me, I have installed My King
    Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

7 “I will surely tell of the [e]decree of the Lord:
He said to Me, ‘You are My Son,
    Today I have begotten You.
8 ‘Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance,
And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
9 ‘You shall [g]break them with a [h]rod of iron,
You shall shatter them like earthenware.’”

    10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment;
Take warning, O judges of the earth.
11 Worship the Lord with reverence
    And rejoice with trembling.
12 Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way,
For His wrath may soon be kindled.
How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!
    Stay blessed !
    Gary

  5. Amen and Amen! We do need to make a decision and “please God’ let it be the right one.
This is a hard fight to make people (our friends and others understand the truth of what God is and always has been about in the land he gave to the Jews. Thank you, Stan, for you forceful words of challenge and encouragement.

  6. Yes Stan, I believe every word and Yes God is in Control …His ways are not our way, we don’t always understand His Ways but we have to believe He has a plan…I too hurt to think that the U.S. wants to award land that belongs to Israel and to give it away….

  7. G-d can do his own work as Stan has so rightly pointed out. Look what He did at the exodus! G-d & his prophet. He is the power & we need to stand fast in our faith in Him.

  8. YES.YES. YES! Oh Brother Stan YES. Not only do I believe they should annex them immediately, I think they should start by kicking the Muslims off Mt. Zion. and letting Gershon Solomon’s Temple Mt. Faithful rebuild the Temple after destroying the Dome of the Rock and the Mosque as well. YHWH has already shown time and time again He is fighting for Israel…He has literally changed the paths of countless missiles as testified by Hamas .If Israel would take this seemingly insane (insane to the world) step in total faith and trust of God, it is tottally in His character to support them… As my friend Gershon says… The poor Muslims …they have no chance against the mighty God of Jacob. SHALOM SHALOM Jeremy

  9. Thank you, Stan for this powerful, convicting article. I was with you in Israel in May. So, blessed to have been there to be able now, to visualize the land and pray more fervently and specifically. As Moses prayed for Israel when God would have destroyed them, we must pray for Israel, speak for Israel and bless Israel for the sake of God’s name and glory.

  10. Yes. We either believe the word of God is true or we don’t . It is simple. We either “fear” The Lord or we don’t . It is simple. If we say that we believe all these things to be God’s manifested miracles, let us pray we (I) have the courage to stand, and boldly put our” faith (money) where our mouths are”.
He put his word in our hearts. ” From the heart, the mouth now speaks”!
    I will stand.

  11. Hi Wim – Thank you for your response. Like you I believe that the LORD will give all the land back – as He has been doing, and like you I see it still as a process. God’s timing will be best. What we must NOT do is sit back and wait for His timing, but press in and ask Him if it is not NOW His time for us, as Christians, to give Israel the breathing space it needs to annex this land by raising our voices as Christians in support of this. Christian Zionism from the very start (when it was known as Restorationism) has been tied into the the return of the Jews to their land and of the land to the Jews. It has never been a Gentilised/Greek approach of “we do the spiritual and they (The Jews) do the physical. As I see it, God wants our physical and pro-active involvement. We must be both fully on our knees/faces in prayer and supplication and intercession, and we must be on our feet – busy, speaking out, acting, taking the strong stand we would like to see Israel taking, but understand they are not capable as yet of doing so.

  12. Thanks Steve – not sure that the land IS going to be divided again – it has been many times over. What is for sure is that God is watching over His Word and will perform everything He has said He will do. And we will praise Him!

  13. Prime Minister Netanyahu needs all the prayer we can muster. I do not think that anyone can realize the position he is in. Israel needs to be seen to the whole world as willing and wanting peace. I think he is doing a great job – one that I would not want at any price. I wonder what the critics would do if they were walking in his shoes? any better? I think not! It is very easy to point fingers when you are not sitting in the chair. Pray earnestly for him and for all the peoples of Israel. Satan is on the rampage and should we be surprised? He is the arch-destroyer of all and anything related to G-d. If he destroys Israel, he destroys G-d. Then the world can say there is NO GOD – WE are GOD.

  14. I stand with Israel. Those questions were too easy. If you know the bible, you would know these verses:
I WILL REMEMBER MY COVENANT WITH JACOB, AND MY COVENANT WITH ISAAC AND MY COVENANT WITH ABRAHAM I WILL REMEMBER; I WILL REMEMBER THE LAND. (Leviticus 26:42)

For behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,’ says the Lord. ‘And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. (Jeremiah 30:3)

(Ezekiel 11:17, 19, 20)

Genesis 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

But God’s history with Israel has always been one of desiring repentance and a turning back to their God ( 2 Chron 7:14).

All the comments about this article almost makes me cry, to see us altogether on this. No, Israel shuld not give up the west bank! God’s word and bible prophecy will come as predicted.

  15. Yes! And it breaks my heart to see the U.S. not fully supporting Israel.
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3

  16. Hi Stan, please correct me if the following is incorrect; I was taught this by a Messianic Jew and by an Israeli/American travel guide on one of my visits to Israel. It is such an interesting subject – maybe you could bring us YOUR teaching on this subject, sometimes?
…so… here goes >>> Jeremiah 31.7 talks about the WATCHMAN calling out to the head of the NATIONS “Say to The Lord: Save Your people, the remnant of Israel”
‘Watchman/watchmen’ is ‘Notzri/Notzrim’ in Hebrew – and interestingly, the modern Hebrew calls a Christian a Notzri. (of course, this Hebrew word has various other levels of related ‘meaning’ as well) The word ‘Nations’ generally refers to the Gentiles.
Stan pointed out so very clearly, that us – the Zionist Christians – the ‘nations’ – should ‘do battle’ with The Lord instead of with Bibi and the Jews/Israelis when it comes to the repossession of Eretz Israel and her people.
Thank you, Stan! Whenever I pictured myself ‘interceding’ in prayer for Bibi and his coalition govt and for Israel’s many other urgent needs (with snot en trane nogal!) God invariably led my thoughts back to Jeremiah 31.07 … almost like He wanted to hear from me none other BUT me addressing HIM, directly, with no frills and no strings attached.
Isaiah 62.6 >> ‘REMIND Him and give Him no rest until …etc etc’
YES – THAT is where our spiritual warfare must be concentrated on: before His Throne – crying noisily – beseeching Him unceasingly – yes, reminding Him, as commanded by His Word, that ‘The Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps’

  17. Jeremiah 23:7 Therefore, behold the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall NO MORE SAY, The Lord Liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 8 BUT, the Lord Liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries whither I had driven them; and they SHALL DWELL IN THIER OWN LAND.
The Egyptian delivery is the focal point of faith for Israel. God reminds them so many times in scripture to always remember this GREAT DELIVERANCE, it would do well for us to count how many times God admonishes them to acknowledge his great act.
The delivery God has in store for Israel will cause the Egyptian delivery to pale in comparison.
This new miraculous delivery is not only for the benefit of Israel, but God will make himself known to all nations. He will judge the nations and all people according to how they have interacted with his people. This ungodly hatred will be dealt with once and for all.

Luke 2:34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary His mother, Behold, this child (Y’shua) is set (Mission Statement) for the fall 70AD and RISING AGAIN 1948, of many in Isarel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; 35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the THOUGHTS OF MANY HEARTS MAY BE REVEALED.

Every vile thought, hatred and intent of the heart’s of man is being brought to the surface of humanity and the enemies of God have made their purposes clear, there is no more gray or murky confusion. They are either with Israel or against Israel.

While the world is turning against Israel, Jesus gave us the answer on how to determine who are His and who are not his. It’s simple:
Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME.
Does that sound like “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you”.
Matthew 23 31 -46 is all about the blessing and the curse and how to distinguish between those who will benefit from the blessing and inherit the kingdom and those who will inherit the curse.

It’s becoming clearer and clearer everyday.

  18. Stan, thank you for your article. I still remember hearing you in person in Kentucky many years ago, speaking on Israel’s behalf. It was that night, after being under that anointing, that Holy Spirit came upon me in a most unusual way with intermittent sobbing out of a sound sleep throughout the night. YOU have been called to stand up and stand out and speak up on behalf of Israel, no doubt! We ALL have our place God has prepared for us. I pray that we will be wise as serpents and harmless as doves speaking with the authentic boldness of the Holy Spirit that cannot be refuted – the sound of heaven’s truth released through these earthen vessels. Jerry and I are going to the States soon – and would covet your prayers that every congregation we go to, that our hearts are fully prepared to be His vessels He flows through to speak His very words…and that the soil of God’s people’s hearts would be ready to receive His heart for Israel. More than any other time, I feel that urgency and desperation for His heart and tears, love and message of truth to flow through us to His people. Please continue to write, speak and pray. You are anointed and appointed, and prepared for such a time as this, Stan.

  19. I believe with my whole heart that our Father will do as He says He will do. He will do it all. We are to believe and rejoice in Him. It is His Hand that will do the work. We have seen that over and over. To God be the Glory for the things He has done.

  20. Amein!!!! Go for it!!!!!! Push the politicians that have voiced support for this. And those in the areas incorporated, plus in Israel proper today, must pledge allegiance to The State of Israel to be citizens and participate. Zoabi and others will be stript of citizenship and the Kenesset and invited to leave the country, and those new ones who do not pledge allegiance to the State of Israel, in writing with fingerprints, are invited to leave. If they stay, they will receive no benefits whatsoever. If they have a business or a job, they will pay taxes. There is plenty of room in Arab countries to absorb these people. And Israel should make her own decisions free from dictates from the US, EU or anyone else. As for the Temple Mount, Israel should declare and exercise its Sovereignty over it, build its Temple to the North of the Golden Dome with Jews and all peoples having free access to the Mount and all holy places.

  21. Well said Stan! Thanks for the fresh challenge and agree wholeheartedly! You may feel like a voice crying in the wilderness but keep crying out! God bless you!

  22. Stan,
In God’s time HE will give all the land back to the Jews, much was already gained since 1948 until now but it is still in process. The Jewish people as a whole are in the process themselves to regain their Jewish Biblical roots and there is clearly away to go. God’s timing will be the best for the people and the land.

  23. Amen Brother Stan,
Here in Hawaii with Kehilat HaMishkan, we have formed the Hawaii-Israel Alignment. We have public rallies where Jews and Christians gather waving Israeli, American, and Hawaiian Flags. We have Politicians speak, along side Christian Zionists…apologizing for past atrosities against the Jewish people, and giving their support for the State of Israel. Jewish people are amazed and brought to tears to see such love and compassion from people that have historically followed world oppinion, but now are following the Bible and standing firm in they’re commitment to Israel. It’s time to take a Biblical view…and not a world view.
Thankyou for your un-ending commitment to Israel and The Word.

  24. Thank you for this TIMELY and critical challenge to Christian Zionists! It’s very important that as many of you SPEAK THESE TRUTHS OUT – tell the Israeli government, tell your own governments, comment on blogs and Facebook, etc. – that Israel is long overdue in declaring sovereignty and certainly must do so now, especially in light of the Arabs’ current threats to demand their “state.” G-d Almighty practically pushed the Land into our laps, yet because of international pressure and/or fear of man, we didn’t have the FAITH to accept it! We need “koach/strength” from outsiders to go against the world – even our “best friend,” the US who is threatening to not sell us weaponry if we don’t concede to the Arabs! Exodus 23:30, G-d tells us to INHERIT THE LAND and as we settle it, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF our enemies!! Encourage Jews everywhere to join Israelis in settling the Land!

  25. Thank you Stan for your warrior words of encouragement, I am looking forward to hearing God sing as Zephaniah 3:16-20 states “In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack . 17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save , he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. 18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden. 19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth , and gather her that was driven out ; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. 20 At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD. Amen
I would love to know how to help Israel , right now all I can do is pray.

  26. A definite YES, and thanks Stan for your urgent call for Christian reaction and action in this vital matter. You are right….our voices need to be heard loud and clear EVERYWHERE and NOW in support of Israel claiming The Land that is rightfully hers.

  27. God bless you for having a backbone. I thought I was the only one that believed what you said, but I see there are others. I should remind you that The God of Israel, (my God) is going to accomplish all that He says in his word, regardless of the inaction or faithlessness of “Christians”. The land IS going to be divided, and God is going to destroy all of Israel’s enemies. Not my assertion, but God’s Word.

  28. With no wavering I believe totally that God has given this land to His people according to Ps. 35 12 that says that He gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to His people Israel. I also believe Ps. 125:3 which states unequivocally that the scepter of the wicked shall not remain over the land allotted to the righteous. While visiting Israel in 1990 God give me a prayer for Israel, based on Ps. 122:6-9, Ps. 123, 124: 6-8, 129:5-6, and 130:7-8. I have been praying that prayer faithfully and I fully believe that God will have His way in Israel. Every square inch of land that God gave Abraham still belongs to the Jewish people and I long for the day when they stand up and take it back. I always have and always will stand with Israel and the Jewish people as God has given me a burning, desperate love for them. I abhor that our ‘leaders’, if you can even call them that, are trying to turn their backs on Israel, the apple of God’s eye. I fear for our future here in America if that happens, but I don’t fear for Israel because God has chosen her, loves her, and will protect her according to His Word.

  29. And further…these are the words that met my eyes as I turned from my earlier comment, and opened the true and living Word of YHVH. In the words of King David from Psalm 21:;8-13:

“Your hand will find all your enemies; Your hand will find those who hate You. You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them. Their offspring You shall destroy from the earth, and their descendants from among the sons of men. For they intended evil against You; they devised a plot which they are not able to perform. Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces.
Be exalted, O LORD, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.”

It will never be a man who wins over HaShem’s enemies. Not even Bibi. However much our prayers and love are with him. It has always been Israel’s God who fights for them. It will be no different this time. Check this out, if you have not yet seen it: Hand of God: Iron Dome Gets 15 Rockets at Once! This is our God! THIS IS OUR GOD!! The God of Israel!

  30. Yes, I believe and claim the name of Christian Zionist and the reproach that follows…

Psalm 2 King James Version (KJV)

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. 5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. 10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”

  31. I have no doubt that our faithful God is busy doing what he promised. He is to be trusted. I also believe that there are things that He expects His children to do. After all, obedience to His will is what life is all about. …
I believe that Israel should have refused to negotiate with a party that have so often shown themselves to be utterly untrustworthy. Israel should simply have finished the task of removing any capability on the part of the Philistines to start up hostilities again. Now Israel apparently got nothing in return. I would have thought that, knowing that God knows everything and that He has the best plans for Israel`s future, the should have consulted Him for direction as to how to deal with their enemies step by step, just as king David did. And they should do exactly as He directs, irrespective of what the world may say.
We need to earnestly and faithfully pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to regularly remind the Lord of His promises to restore the land to Israel. We also need to be heard to make it known what God has said concerning the restoration of the land to Israel so that it can serve as a testimony to those around us that we know that what God has promised will be done and that it is important that we rather study the scriptures and rejoice for what God has promised is as good as done already.
We should also find out where Israel`s greatest need is and do what we can to supply, be it finances, doing business with them, visiting that wonderful land or whatever. We too should ask of the Lord to show us exactly what He would have each one of us do. The smallest of things in our eyes will count a lot if directed by God.

  32. God says Israel has always been and will always be a nation before Him. Israel is God’s responsibility. He has never failed; even during the Spanish inquisition programs and holocaust. He has and will always see that even the wrath of man praises Him. ALL the Land is His; His special treasure given to Abraham, issac, and Jacob. It is the doctrine of demons to think or speak against the God of Israel.

  33. Yes. The Word of God is true, let every man woman and child be assured Jesus is the true God the one and the only God and He does not lie. He will complete that good work. He will never back out of his promise and he will never give his promise to another. I Stand on the Word of God. I Stand with Isreal. I Pray for the Prince of Peace to reveal himself to all of Israel. ✡

  34. Stan, thank you my brother for questions of confrontation regarding our Christian Zionism! Yes, I welcome these questions you have organized for us as called out Christian Zionists’. We, Christian Zionists’ must exam ourselves as to what God would have us do to support, encourage and stand with Israel for such a time as this. And yes, to your last plea for Israel, to stand before God and Israel visibly and declare, “Israel you are not alone”! There are many ways we can do this: Romans 14:27 “For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they (Christians) owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings”.
Christian Zionists’ should converge on Israel for the fall feasts, attend in mass numbers solidarity conferences in Jerusalem. Fill the hotels with pro-Israel encouraging Christian tourists. In all the trips I’ve taken to Israel … God, Himself, has always provided! If we cannot go to the Land, can we sacrificially send someone? Can we find it in our God-given blessings to sacrificially share with the pro-Israel ministries to increase care for and encourage the needy in Israel? Can we support the ministries who for God’s sake are called to be on the front lines in living and working in Israel as a Christian presence. Can we write to the Government of Israel encouraging letters declaring we stand with them … forget the Christian pomposity and self righteous opinions? How about encouraging letters to the Israeli Consulate here in the U.S. or abroad encouraging ‘annexation’ of Judea, Samaria and Gaza? This is not asking too much, with God’s help it can be done. Am Israel Chai!

  35. Yes, yes and yes again. I am totally on the side of the God Abraham, Isaac and Jakob and His beloved people. May He continue to grant me the boldness and wisdom to speak out HIS TRUTH. Just grieved at times that Israels government seem to despise His Gift of Land and their birthright. Please Lord grant Israels Government a heart of Repentance and help them to look to the God of Israel and not the other nations especially America and Britain

  36. I am shouting Stan! Pete is shouting Stan! In the place where HaShem has placed us – we are shouting! Shouting that there is a place where He has placed His Name. Only one place! And that place is Zion! It belongs to no other god, and to no other people!
I/we shout an absolute “YES” to what you have written here!
All the lies of the media , and all the lies of the devil as he controls the high and lofty leaders of today’s so-called Christianity, only serve to bind me closer to the God who is ‘echad’. The God who is the author of Zionism. The Mighty One of Israel. The One Who drew the everlasting boundaries of His Land. The One who is bringing His People Home. All the lies only serve to bind me more closely to His Land and His People. They only serve to make me more certain, and to shout louder still – “HaShem – You who has a Name – the Name YHVH – take back Your Land! Take back Your Land, O God of Israel! Raise up Your People! Call them forth from the very ends of the earth! Stir in their hearts to make aliyah! For You have brought us to ‘such a time as this!’ Grant us an increased strength with each passing day. With each additional lie of the enemy. That we might stand more firmly. That we might shout louder still. There is a God in Israel! And He has begun to do a work, even in our day! May this work come forth with great power and speed! And yes, against every odd!” In the Mighty Name of the One who alone is our Salvation – Yeshua HaMashiach – Amen & Amen

  37. We’ve been working in this “war” for over twenty years. Glad to see new arrivals to this battle. Our weapons are invincible because they are based on G-d’s Word and not on human reasoning. Jeremiah 17:5, “Cursed is the man who trusts in man.” Believers could really encourage Israel by getting their hands dirty building up the Land and helping the Israels on the ground. Less talk more involvement.

  38. A RESOUNDING “YES” !!!!!! YOUR WORDS ARE PROFOUND AND ABSOLUTELY TRUE TODAY TOMORROW AND FOREVER…..

ISRAEL IS FROM NILE TO PRAT (EUPHRATES)

Genesis 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

    M A S H I A C H A C H S H A V !!!!!!!!

  39. When I read your words about Israel annexing those territories that are promised her in the Bible, I felt a wonderful sigh of relief! Yes! We do not hear words like this from our media, from our Christian churches, or even from Israel herself. We have been bombarded with the same old lies over and over again coming across the airways and we get the sense that Israel is doing well just to hang on to what she has and to keep the bombs from landing with the iron dome! But that is not what the Word of the Lord says. This isn’t good enough for the chosen people of God! I will be praying for Israel to be fed up with it and take a stand – to take back the land! Thank you for the breath of fresh air! The Truth being spoken out loud and in black and white print! May it spread like a wild fire!

  40. Yes, yes, and yes……..I too have been so disappointed in Netanyahu. He is a great and inspiring orator but there is no courage or might in his words…..he always backs down surrendering Israel to international pressure, i.e., US and EU. My prayer is that Yehovah will either strengthen the prime minister with courage to listen ONLY to the Holy One and turn his back on the US. The US gov’t is not a friend to Israel and does not have Israel’s best interest at heart. However, support for Israel is flowing from individual in the US. Most of us do not support our gov’t as this current administration is not only against Israel but is also against it’s own people.

  41. God will do it – but He is looking for Esther’s and Ruths to do it through. He has always worked through people. Let’s not only pray and wait to see what He does, let’s find out what we can DO too. We do need to be aware, though, that it WILL cost us.

  42. Stan, everything you said, I truly believe in and my Mother always told me that ALL THE LAND WAS ISRAEL’S and I just maded a comment on yahoo news about that Netanyahu should annex all the land and throw all the people out this isn’t a believer in our ELOHIM AND FOLLOW HIS TRUE WORD. I have voiced this words over and over. Netanyahu should not care what the world think’s because YAH will judge them for what they are doing to Israel

  43. Only God has accomplished all that has been done and only God will work His mighty works again so that ALL may know Who He is…praying with you for Israel and her leaders to be strong in The Lord and walk in the power of His might. This is all about Who I AM is as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as our God of every circumstance.

  44. thanks for the post.
What thrills me in all these is that SOMETHING great is about to happen in my life time.
No man or government /union any power /authority WILL stop what God has decleared he will DO. If the PM who is there now will not do what God puts him there to do, HE will remove him & use the Right person. He can ‘raise up STONES’ He can cause the ass to speak.
God has His timing. WHEN it time, we will see HIM in action.
Let’s keep praying. It won’t be Long anymore.

  45. Israel is my heart, I will always stand for HER as G-d also does. pray without ceasing and stay in the word and His Spirt will lead all of people to see all truth. G-d says it is better to believe G-d than man. We know that G-d’s word will be fulfilled and it is as we see it all be fullfilled. Shalom

  46. Paula, I think that as long as you expect Netanyahu to act as if he believes what we believe (in terms of God’s Word and Lordship) you are going to be disappointed in him. I don’t believe Christians should pin any hopes on the man. I think we should pin our hopes ONLY on God and get to wrestling in prayer with HIM, asking Him to strengthen Netanyahu to withstand the pressures; or alternatively intervene to deflect the pressure away from the PM and his government – as He so often has done. But I think this misses the point of this article. My call is not to Israel or to its leadership at all – it is to us. WE need to take the stand. WE have the faith (don’t we?). Let the Christian world stop wringing its hands at what Israel’s leaders are or are not doing, and let’s face up to what WE are or are not doing – and work to change what needs to be changed in OUR nations.

  47. There is no question that God desires Israel’s repentance. He desires it of all of us. And yes, Israel’s national repentance is foretold and will be glorious. Nowhere on these pages do I overlook the need for a conviction of sin. I am not hearing this from any quarter. What I do hear, is gentiles whose nations are steeped in sin pointing fingers at Israel and saying Israel needs to repent. This is NOT our calling.

  48. Stan I’ve ALWAYS agreed on ALL of these points. The problem is that the current Prime Minister doesn’t. He was weak the last time he was Prime Minister and he is weak now. All he is is a great orator. He speaks wonderful persuasive words but does not back them up, instead bowing to world pressure and “negotiations.” I’ve always loved this man, but I’m sorry, right now I’m just angry. Please don’t take the time to answer this, I’ve just had it with this man and that’s the result of years of watching him. He could have put an end to the enemy in Gaza but no, he buckles. Again.

  49. God’s plan for Israel is, and has always been, flawless. For their sins and transgressions He scattered them to the nations, but as He promised in Ezk 36 He has brought them back to the Land of their fathers. God is perfectly sovereign in His eternal plan to establish Israel as His Glorious capital….For His Holy namesake He will do this. But God’s history with Israel has always been one of desiring repentance and a turning back to their God ( 2 Chron 7:14). I do not believe in our love for Israel we should over-look the need for a conviction of sin. Even though God has sovereignly reestablished Israel as a nation, her national repentance will bring forth, in the not distant future, a great revival!!

  50. Stan, I have a blog concerning Israel’s Legal Right to the Land God Gave Her: http://http://israeldocumented.blogspot.com/ It is complete with the Balfour Declaration, the League of Nations Mandate text, and Scripture and pertinent videos. Comments have been disabled~it is strictly an informational blog and has visits from places I didn’t even know existed. The Truth is getting out!

  51. Absolutely YES! Waiting for God to move on the hearts of the Jews who are living in the land God gave them to take what has been promised to them! Praying for sound leadership that does not need the US to dictate what they should or should not do concerning this matter!! I am appalled at the US saying no to annexation! Were God to allow, I would move to Israel in a heart beat and make my voice heard. As it stands, I do what I can on social media to make my position known. God knows my heart belongs to Israel!! ✡✡✡
